Autism Awareness is an excellent practical and theoretical training course, where you will learn all the essentials of working with those who are autistic. A formal assessment will be completed and all theory and practical elements of the course have to be attended. This course is a great way to make you stand out from the crowd!

Bullying Awareness

Bullying Awareness is an excellent practical and theoretical training course, where you will learn all the essentials of recognising and dealing with the problem of bullying. A formal assessment will be completed and all theory and practical elements of the course have to be attended. This course is a great way to make you stand out from the crowd!

Dementia

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

Understanding dementia can positively effect your method of working. Through the dementia training course you will learn about: how the brain is affected, symptoms, communication, the role of friends and relatives, building relationships, recognising and helping to prevent abuse and non-verbal communication.

Epilepsy Awareness

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

Epilepsy Awareness is an excellent practical and theoretical training course, where you will learn all the essentials of caring for somebody with epilepsy. A formal assessment will be completed and all theory and practical elements of the course have to be attended. This course is a great way to make you stand out from the crowd!

Equality and Diversity

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

This course will aim to define the terms equality and diversity, the benefits and key concepts of diversity along with its principles, values and beliefs that underpin human diversity and the responsibilities regarding equality and diversity. The Equality and Diversity course also looks at the factors upon which discrimination can be based, differentiating between direct and indirect discrimination.

HIV and AIDs Awareness

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

HIV and AIDs Awareness is an excellent practical and theoretical training course, where you will learn all the essentials of caring for somebody with HIV/AIDs. A formal assessment will be completed and all theory and practical elements of the course have to be attended. This course is a great way to make you stand out from the crowd!

Self Harm Awareness

Safeguarding Children

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

This course aims to help identify the elements that can lead to all forms of abuse and will highlight the current best practice for candidates. The Safeguarding Children course is designed to give care staff the confidence and knowledge to deal with concerns about abuse effectively.

Safeguarding Adults

This course aims to help identify the elements that can lead to all forms of abuse and will highlight the current best practice for candidates. The Safeguarding Adults course is designed to give care staff the confidence and knowledge to deal with concerns about abuse effectively.

Mental Capacity Act with DoLS

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

Understanding mental capacity and health can positively effect your method of working. Through the Mental Capacity Act training course you will learn about: how the brain is affected, symptoms, communication, the role of friends and relatives, building relationships, recognising and helping to prevent abuse and non-verbal communication.

Nutrition and Hydration

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

The Nutrition and Hydration course aims to give staff an introduction to topics such as; food, hygiene, nutrition and hydration. Covering areas such as facilitating and supporting eating and drinking, assistance with eating and drinking and best practice for nutritional care.

Palliative Care

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

This course is aimed at all staff caring for people who are close to the end of their lives, it looks at dignified death and appropriate skills and practices. The course will also explore the deterioration of the human functions and how to respond to the increased care needed. The key to effective palliative care is to provide a safe way for the individual to address their physical and psychological distress in an environment of support.

Person Centred Planning

£400 (Full Day) £250 (Half Day)

This course will work through two of the Care Certificate competencies and will look at defining what dignity, respect and privacy are. You will also be introduced to concepts such as poor practice, best practice, specific cre needs, personal autonomy, integration, implementation of change and how a carer can utilise all of these to provide person centred care.

Prada Willi

Full 3 Day Course (10 or more)

Course Aims

Be able to describe Prader-Willi Syndrome

Be familiar with the health effects associated with the Syndrome
